DM House, By Horma

DM House, By Horma

DM House is a modernist, minimalist dwelling located in Puerto de Sagunto, a coastal town in the province of Valencia. It was designed by local architecture firm Horma and features a variety of shapes and colors.

The house is made up of a series of fragmented volumes with white lime cladding and terracotta-colored ceramic tiles. It has both curved and rectangular walls, and a gabled white form that intersects with a half-barrel vault containing a skylight at one end. The ground floor of the house includes a spacious living area, bedrooms, and patios, while the upper floor is reserved for guests. There are also lounge spaces and small pools on a lower level that can be accessed through a red spiral staircase. The interiors of the house are uncluttered and feature maple and cherry wood furnishings, white walls and ceilings, and a terrazzo floor that combines the exterior colors of terracotta and white.
