Neotenic Table Lamp, By Jumbo

The Neotenic lamp is a unique, handmade piece that combines a mouth-blown glass shade with a ceramic body crafted by artisans in Portugal. It is the result of a collaboration between Petite Friture and design studio Jumbo. The lamp's rounded, comfortable shape is intended to evoke memories of childhood and create an emotional connection between the object and the person using it. The design is available in three colors and two sizes, including a small 26-centimeter version and a larger one that is half a meter tall. The body of the lamp is made using a complex mould and requires careful, manual finishing before firing and drying. Each lamp comes with a built-in LED module that was specifically designed for the collection.
